Cornsilks Kennels was established over 25 years ago when my parents began showing and breeding Miniature Schnauzers. It became a family affair with both of my parents as well as my sister and myself getting involved with the dogs. My parents decided to get out of the mini schnauzers years later, mostly due to the grooming requirements for show. In 1992 I got my first papillon and in 1994 bred my first litter. From that litter came my first two champions, including Simba, who became a champion in two countries, was a group winner, number 5 papillon in Canada in 1996 and won Canada's first National Specialty Show for papillons!
We produce only a few litters a year and with each breeding we strive to maintain and improve the health, soundness and beauty of our papillons. All our puppies are born in the bedroom and homeraised. Occasionally I have pet puppies available to approved homes, all sold on CKC endorsed non-breeding contracts as well as personal spay/neuter agreements. I rarely sell puppies to show homes as I prefer to keep the best for myself and place the others in loving pet homes.
